leveling up form of cheating ???

why its it im see more and more poeple doing 1 vs 1 on koth and now sgc conquest, i dont mine 1 vs 1 BUTwhen i spec them or after i have looked at the scores or kills i see that something aint right.. i stay ingame.. then i have to watch people take it in turns killing each other or taking it in turns in the middle of koth

i even have screenshots saying we need a 100 kills etc .. or i only need 2387 xp points till my next rank.. and then u get NOWAR.. WTF..

TO ME THIS IS CHEATING, all my ranks are from hard fort matchs over a period of time.. surly there must be something in the fair play rules or something..

whats sad is theses people are in so called CLANS, and its rubed off onto newbies

DUDES u mite as well install hax NOW aswell cos u may have the rank but u havnt got the skill to back it up.. U HAVE ONLY CHEATED YOURSELF SO WHY PLAY IF YOUR GONNA CHEAT..

It's called Stat Padding and is gets you on the naughty list, Nova, report the people via PM to BC please.

The only problem is when they get "interrupted" from there stat padding they just go to another server, just like the couple from earlier today they said in chat (which was kinda stupid) that they were just gonna go to another server and do it there....

this is just sickening. the other day, i enter a full koth, and on my way to the battlefield, someone says, ok sgc in the circle. so i'm like, you guys clay jumping?... no. so i swoop in and commence the killing, and everyone's like, no war no war. so i stand there and watch as all the sgc just stand there doing nothing. i ask, whats the point of this... and several people say, points.
after telling them they are all without honor, i left. but having thought about it, i've decided the next time i see that, i will not be so nice. i may not be shouting CHEATER, bit i will indeed kill you for your dishonor.

there seems to be a saddeningly sharp increase in behavior like this recently, and i for one am very disappointed that people think they need to do this. guys.... RANK DOESN'T MATTER! all it is is a reflection of how much you've played that class!!! (for the most part) you want to rank up someone, just play as them during combat, so that you'll actually *gasp!* get BETTER! onoes, you might gain some skill with that character! everyone, we are instigating a new (voluntary) policy for the (honorable) player base: if you ever see behavior like this, DO NOT LEAVE! stick around and BUTCHER those cowards. Yes completely agree, and im getting tired of the "private matches" exept for clan wars, they are fun to watch

Yea lets execute ppl who learned to do that recently after u and some more ppl did it lots of times in a gr8ter number on koth.

yeah i can agree with the execute people

but saying they done it after me is shocking mate.. if im on a team and everyone of the other team leaves, of course i will stay ingame untill it ends and if someone comes in and theres a full team already waiting for them ...how is that are fault ans stas padding mate

its because all YOU stats padding people now think your good as u have rank, but the skill is still missing and always will

As for "Stat Padding" as everyone is calling it, i haven't seen this myself (probably a good thing), but not sure how KOTH in general isn't stat padding ... even if you play properly, you do gain an awful lot of XP on that gametype regardless of how you play.

Never heared of the word "padding". But i guess it is that tweaking of stats without playing properly.

So while this is not on the "devs says what a cheat is" list it is no cheat.

But won't stats get important in the future? I mean there has to be something comming, what else are they made for? ^^

Ignore list is a VERY good idea, thanks nova. Does it also hide threads?

i ran into this again last night. with the influx of new players there is going to be more and more of this, thats just a fact of life.

i have an idea for the devs to stop it, although it isnt exactly a 'great' idea due to the fact that it could effect a legitimate match. but anyway here it goes.

My Idea: I played a game for a while called combat arms. Its a free game so when a hacker or cheater got caught they would just make a new character or change their IP (so there were alot of cheaters lol). So the dev team put in place a 'detector', that would detect games that were EXTREMELY slanted toward one team (aka 50-0 ect) and would not award XP. At the end of the match it would say something like 'Abnormal Game-play Detected, No Points Have Been Awarded'. I am suggesting something similar.

I understand this is not foolproof, and that sometimes people do just kick trash and play extremely well but.... IDK its the best idea i have. Other then that all we can do is what Kadel suggested, and ruin their fun! lol i really like that idea.

If you leave a game before it ends, do your stats get recorded as they are?
