But that would remove a lot of what is stargate from the game. Scientists, Goa'uld, commandos and ashrak are very much part of the stargate lore. if they weren't a major part of the lore maybe.

Also who would play a game with just 2 classes?

i would also love to play only jaffa vs soldier. of course the other classes are a part of stargate, but unmanned turrets and poison are not stargatey at all. yes, the tau'ri did press their advantages against the goa'uld, but there were some lines that the sgc didn't cross, like poisoning jaffa.

Didn't the SGC with the Tok'ra attempt to kill the system lords plus everyone on board who had a symbiote with the symbiote poison? Also isn't there back up plan if invaded by Goa'uld to deploy the poison? When Ba'al and his clones were SGC and they got loose they deployed it.

The poison in SGR is based of that poison.

As for the turrets well the writers said it is cannon *shrugs*.

well firstly, i don't think there was ever a moral dilemma with using poison against goa'uld, only jaffa. yes, a dozen or so jaffa would've died in the attack on the station, but that was to take out a half dozen system lords. and it was when it was first developed. and in desperation elliot presumably used the same poison to take out an army of jaffa to facilitate sg1's escape. but later on when the poison was refined and mass produced, they became much more reserved with it. landry hesitated when they were about to launch a poison missle against ba'al's location on earth when he heard that jaffa were spotted near the target. but then teal'c told him he musn't hesitate. then when the ba'al's were escaping from the sgc, only the ba'al's would have been affected. sg1 also took action to stop the trust from launching poison attacks.
if stargate was like sgr, then instead of carrying p90's when they boarded a ha'tak, they would've had spray cans or supersoakers loaded with poison.
