I was 24 on the 19th of this month, but time is traveling so fast I'll be 25 before I know it

Like they say "time is a relative curve in space!" It just keeps getting faster and faster.

Come on you old guys get with the posting.
I love that you're still counting the half years.

I also started gaming at the age of about three or four, with a Commodore 64 bought from my cousin for the princely sum of 50p (she was upgrading anyway but it was a lesson on the value of money).

If I told you how old I was your head would explode!

I've seen things you people wouldn't believe. Attack ships on fire off the shoulder of Orion. I watched c-beams ... glitter in the dark near Tanhauser Gate. All those ... moments will be lost ... in time, like tears ... in rain. Time ... to die.

I'm 19, will be 20 on Sept. 11 (Do I win a prize for worst birthday?)

I've been watching Stargate since season 5 on TV, and have loved every minute of it.

i'm 30, but due to the sarcophagus being inaccessible, and the red X, i've begun rapidly aging.
i rode a moped to the theater to see stargate when it came out, watched every episode as they aired, until tivo.

my first modem was 1200 baud. i was a member of compuserve, and q-link(aol). i bought the first inkjet printer, the first digital camera, and the first cd-rom drive. i was at the release party when intel introduced the pentium processor. and yes, i had a breifcase cell phone, i think i still have it.

i remember back then, i wished that the general public would embrace modern technology, i figured it would make everyone collectively smarter. unfortunately, the technology got user friendly, and allowed people to stay stupid.

get a job, or a haircut, whichever applies to you...dam kids
just kidding, i'm not that old, and i'm self employed and have long hair.

Oh god mate. I remember those, my first comms device was a 300 baud acoustic coupler. But that was high tech then.

I thought acoustic couplers where stupid when I first saw them. I couldn't understand why so many engineers where gaga over the devices at the time. I wasn't until 1200/2400 baud modems came out that things started to really jump for me. It didn't sink in till later what was up with them. My mother worked at a university that had a dedicated line at the time. This was around the time gopher was winding down and web pages where come to be. My very first online game was a terminal based MUD game. Very good memories.

SkyOne aired it first. Channel 4 didn't get the contract for a while and I think they lost it at the end of Season 7. They used to butcher the episodes with their edits. I'll never forget what they did to Evolution P2.

Channel 4 always put SG-1 on at the worst times, like 6pm when the simpsons was on on BBC2 or at 8am when everyone was getting ready for school/work. Hence why I never watched it back in the day, scarily enough I'd never seen a single stargate episode till august 2009!

Now I'm Hooked

You remember towards the end of the episode where Telchak's device turned one of the dead terrorists into a zombie? You wouldn't remember if you'd see the C4 version. It was removed entirely.

I thought Channel 4 aired the first season and then Sky poached it after that. Sky certainly didn't start premiering new episodes before they aired in America until the second half of Season 2.

Edit: and yeah, their censors were notoriously over the top with sci fi and fantasy shows

HAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH I'm starting to lose hope sadly, all the potential of the human race, wasting time on things like money, wars instead of researching more and more for a brighter future. The 2K event struck hard on me, nothing changed...

What is in an age I don't need to be reminded of mine, but just to back up some of the youngins, some don't act or speak their age, some do, and some souls are older than others. So one's age is irrelevant to one's intelligence or maturity.
