Default The System Lords - Stargate Resistance Guild

The System Lords
After the collapse of the Golden Age of the Goa’uld Empire, it is time that a new order took the place of the former hierarchy...

The System Lords are a collective of Goa’uld players dedicated to utilising the class capabilities of the Goa’uld faction. With the combined efforts of Goa’uld, Ash’rak and Jaffa, the System Lords are a formidable force to encounter on the battlefield. Any are welcome to join our ranks, as long as they hold the best interests of the Goa’uld in mind!

Our goal is simple:
-To retake the Naquadah mines of Amarna
-To capture the weather control device on Piramess
-To conquer the Tau’ri and their homeworld
-To kill all Tau'ri that don't bow down before their Gods
-To establish the new order of System Lords

Alongside working to promote the team-work of the Goa'uld faction, the System Lords also provide a community for players of SGR and facilitates the potential as a guild for SGW. We are also a guild of dedicated role-players/creative writers, and this aspect has been the primary factor since the inception of our guild back when SGW was first announced. However, avid RPing is not a prerequisite for joining the System Lords.

Members of our guild can be spotted by their [SL] tag ingame, and a list of official members will be posted below. For further details of the System Lords and to join our community, please visit the following sites.

Hey, i tried to join, but the application section wasn't working in the forum I'm not too good, but its my first few days still and i have a crappy internet connection here at home, but a better one at college. I play as all three classes, but normally as Ashrak or Jaffa.

Hey Atum long time no see

Moonfruit and invisionfree ftw, however you'd be better off getting the free upgrade to zetaboards from invision (lots more stuff, stable shoutbox etc) And some incredibly tasty CSS templates/designs knocking around @ http://resources.zetaboards.com/index/

I love zetaboards so much its criminal Need any help with those and just yell; use them almost daily.

Great post Supreme System Lord

I especially liked how you stated our goals.

Please take my suggetion into consideration. Add this statement to our goals-
To kill all Tau'ri that don't bow down before their gods

Excellent, thanks for that info Kadael. And yes, it's been too long old friend.
I'm not the root admin of the board, as it was made by fellow Lord Midas, but I will suggest to him upgrading to zetaboards as soon as possible.

FireWraith, you're apparently registered with the board now (whereas before you were still under the validating mask) so is that all in working order now? If not I'll see what the board's permissions are set to... And don't worry about skill level, we seek those Goa'uld and Jaffa who have remained loyal to the old ways, not necessarily the Heros of Dakara.
I myself don't have a high KD, but I help the team in whatever way I can (even if it is dying 10 times and only removing the turrets!).

Go'tak, how could I forget our prime directive?! I feel foolish now! It shall be added to help intimidate our foes further... Bwahaha!

Hello, I would like to join your Alliance. I am a fairly decent player that plays Ashrak and Goa'uld. I love the idea of a SL guild ingame for SGR and SGW, hopefully they will get around to updating some info on SGW soon. I will register, hopefully I will be accepted soon. Thank you

Looking good! There is an alliance (combined groups), Allied System Lords (ASL), which The System Lords would be an ideal member of. Check it out at the Command Center upon site launch (March 20 (tomorrow)). You can register the SL group with the official directory too.

Your extension of an alliance is greatly appreciated. Such a group of guilds can only serve to make the Goa'uld race stronger! I accept your proposal, and may our people be prosperous.

The SL are registered on the CC, affiliated with the ASL, so please register and join under our banner!

It would appear we are up to 8 SGR users... 6 Goa'uld and 2 Jaffa, with the original council of 4 System Lords. If there are any who would wish to be regarded as Jaffa or Ash'rak on the System Lord boards, please feel free to join. These ranks do not affect your class choice in SGR, and we are still accepting Goa'uld members, but I feel it's time we bulked out our Jaffa armies.

As a general point of topic, what do people think of the clan tag? Currently it's [SL], but it has been suggested that the prefix of Lord_ could be the ingame tag.
What are people's opinions of this? I still like the [SL] tag, but the Lord_ prefix could be quite a nice addition to our Godly airs... A prince is only as good as the counsel of his ministers, so what's the general consensus?

i think LORD_ would be cool, but it wouldn't be unique enough. People might just think that its a part of our name, but with [SL] its obviously a clan tag. LORD_ would be cooler, but i think we should stick with [SL]

Im pretty **** decent as a jaffa. As long as i get some heals thrown my way every now and again, the [SL] tag is good, the LORD_ prefix sounds good too, not sure which i like more though

I agree that we badly need more jaffa. It's my opinion that there should be at least 3-4 jaffa on any SL team during a match. Jaffa spearhead the assault, and the Goa'uld provide healing support from behind as well as ambushing anyone that tries to flank the jaffa. Ashrak kind of operate on their own, but they can always use a firefight as a distraction to get into assassination position.

I'm happy with the [SL] tag, and a lord prefix wouldn't make any sense on jaffa. I admit it sounds intriguing though.

Just a quick note: We now have our own clan channel in the community TS3 server, so perhaps people can make an effort to join TS before firing up the game.

[Edit] We need a member roster on the clan forums.

i could join the channel and all, but i don't have a mic yet, and won't have one for quite a bit, unless i can find one on the cheap somewhere... and i agree on the jaffa thing. never any around to blast a turret when you need one

Ya I do not have a mic either, and more than likely cannot get one until I figure out what I am going to do about my car and get a job

The tag [SL] is good, as lord is not viable on the battlefield, making it easy for enemy assassins to spot our commanders is a bad idea. Also I have a idea how to distinguish who holds the rank of a System Lord, underlord etc... but I will post that on the forum.

I play a mean Ashrak and Goa'uld but do not and am no good at playing jaffa class.

im a good goa'uld and jaffa, but terrible ashrak, i honestly want to play jaffa more because... well simply put, these other jaffa(the new players) just arent getting the job done on those turrets, i'll stand around for a good 30 seconds or more and no one kills the turret i have distracted, but instead go for the people AROUND the turret only to get killed by it...

I've seen many an Ash'rak conduct such erroneous attacks also. I can understand their reasoning, as killing a scientist to possibly be killed by a turret is +1 kill possibly +1 death, but to remove a turret is +0 kill and possibly +1 death.
I have on several occasions been able to synchronise with another Ash'rak (sometimes by chance, others by design) to remove two turrets or a turret and a scientist at the same time.

I sometimes also go Jaffa. I think it gives SGR that proper Stargate feel, seeing a group of Jaffa move across the map, Staff weapons blasting. Takes me back to the good old days of SG-1!

Anyway, I'll be reintroducing the former feudal system with the promotion of some to System Lord, so there will be a members roster on the boards in tandem with that. Members will then be able to choose under which Lord they will serve.
