Teamspeak problem

I just followed the link to the TS3 thread is and downloaded TS3. It installed and I tested my mic successfully. The thread gave the server location (ts.replayirc.com) and the port is default on 9987. I pasted the address when I tried to connect and got a "failed to connect to server" message. any ideas?

Try 85.17.109.31 port 9987 - It might be that the DNS for your ISP might be having issues?

thanks for the response but it still couldn't connect, is there anything else I could try?

Be sure that if you are using a Hardware/Software Firewall that the port is open for communication. Additionally If you run any IP Address Blocking software such as PeerGuardian/Peerblock that you allow for connections to that IP address.

HA!!!!!! i was having the same problem at the same problem....the problem was something to do with the server because i was able to connect to other server but just not yours bc....and when i was able to connect i kept losing connection

Thank you very much, I've just recently joined a private torrent site and I didn't even consider peerblock to have been an issue. I'll see if I can figure out the exception for it.

What I do is Pull up Peerblock and close "Torrent client" so there is no traffic then Attempt a connection and see if the IP pops up in the blocked list. If it does the right click on it in the list and select Allow Permanantly. that will add it to the exceptions list and will let communication still occur only for that IP address and Port number.

Is ReplayIRC blocked in PeerGuardian? Could you PM me the reason it was flagged for?

You may have to look into this BC. I just thought it was a valid troubleshooting step. Apparently it's on the block list though because he can connect now.

As for torrent sites, I won't touch them with a barge poll.

You do if you run any blizzard products. All of there update engines use torrent to transfer the data and distribute it as well.

I remember to turn it on and off now, I just didn't know that it would effect TS3. I'm still trying to follow the pipes from my house to see where my internet drains to.
