Default So the new map will be ship based?

So I think we can safely say the 5th map in SGR will be based on a ship.

As we can see from the new wallpaper which has the soldier and the jaffa armour, we can clearly see the place they are in is in space.

Also in the SGGaminginfo interview with Kat. she did answer the new map question by hinting at a space map.

Q5: Apart from “Arena” will we see any more maps coming soon? Say ship based maps etc.
Funny you should mention that…

So are you guys excited about a ship based map?

Discuss what you think of the upcoming new map. Which ship could it be? A ha'tak, a 304 or something new.

Hmmm. Not sure. I know the gate configuration on most large ships used in SG, this one is different. The only real guess I can come up with is the destiny with the gate in the observation dome. But that cannot be right.

Speculation is not my strong point, as you know.

I feel Dark Comet Games could be making a new ship for the map. I gives me a feel of the midway space station though.

the ingame colour doesn't strike me as goa'uld. There is to much blue for the goa'uld. I can only think that the map hasn't being textured fully.

I've been pondering. Maybe something we have not seen very often before. Maybe an Asgard ship?

Its most likely to be the sixth map, we see the fifth map at the end of the latest video, the one thats used as the login screen.

I think that the ruins from the login screen is actually taking place on that really really huge ship! So both speculations are from the same map!

No that ship is just hovering above the ruins, whereas the Ship in the new screens is quite obviously in orbit. So they have to be 2 different maps.

True, I did not think of them, but did the Asgard ever have Stargates on their ship? I was going by that planet in the window(the window frame), seemed triangular. Thats more Gao'uld design isn't it?

Funny, I've posted a news about this yesterday !
(In french here ...)

Take a look at the Jaffa wallpaper, you'd see the little light line on the floor, right in front o f the gate. They are very similar that some in Destiny's gateroom. My bet is an ancient Ship or Station !

i can't think of any ship that has a window near where a stargate would be. i don't really care what the next map is, as long as it's a real stargate location. it could be midway, 304, ha'tak... chulak, abydos, tollanna... whatever. i just hope it doesn't get butchered like the sgc did. we know what these places are supposed to look like.

No one seems to have thought of the possibility that the image was purely created to be a wallpaper
