Default SINGLE PLAYER SGR

This has already been discussed before. but I would love to bring it up once more. And someone post it in the suggestion box for me if it has not been.

A single player mode would be super cool. and if it where multi-co-op that would be super cool.

I would gladly pay $20 for a Single player mode. And I know that would help to pay your bills. and I would love to continue to support and contribute as much as I can.

Ideas for single player include
- at least 10 to 15 hours of game-play.
- solid storyline maybe its own small series of episodes like SG-1
- up to 4 player co-op

And future single player expansions could come out to continue the story and gameplay. for a price of course. and so on.

Legal issues etc. You'd have to sign documents as an investor etc. They won't do it. Basically, lets say you put $100 into the game. Then a change is made that you don't like.

Thats when, the complaints start about I helped this game by paying funds, and now you've done some I don't like etc.....

Simple comparison, but easy to escalate.

Yeah we tried disscusing this to save SGW. In the end the legal issues became apparent that there was nothing we could do no matter what kind of support the community gave.
Viva la SGW!

understood, However there are ways around this, such as having an "Agreement" that you have to check mark before making your donation, stating precisely what a donation is. and that you have no control over anything that happens to the game. the donation is merely a support fund, not resembling any sort of shareholder-ship

there are ways to do it, just depends if they want to or not

Problem is, how many people actually read long agreements, apart from clicking yes. And then back to my previous post.

a donation thing would be cool, i know i would throw down a few bucks here and there. but if you're in a good spot and want to help, you could always buy another copy of the game and gift it to a stargate fan in need.

wow this thread went in a different direction then I thought it would go. lol. anyways.

I like SGR and Firesky. but I also love my hard earned money. and im all down for charity and all. but I normally I do not give out money .

but I would love to pay for reasonable add-on content.

no one and probably me would not normally pay you before you do work. but will most likely pay you after a job is done.

I know I don't. Just downloaded the new iPhone OS and I didn't read the 65 page document I had to click yes to before I could continue to use the device I own, I just checked the box and hoped they didn't add a provision to take possession of my house and firstborn.

I take it the ACPs resulted from one of those donation conversations?

Don't get me started on that one, my iphone 3G is now broken Thanks to idiotic apple coders. It's a pure phone, not been jail braked or anything and the update killed it. Error 21. Now it is on the help page. When you get to the help page, error 21 is not mentioned.

Grrrrr, very angry atm.

I'd like to see a single player campaign added to the game. It would be pretty cool.

Did you back up your info recently? If so you might have to do a master restore, i had to take mine to an apple store for them to reset it, lost all my settings and apps, but My contact info and notes and bookmarks were still safe. I know it sucks.

It crashed mine too but I only had to reset it to the factory settings and spend four hours restoring from back up (fortunately it backs up before installing the update so I didn't lose anything). I don't know anybody who got a smooth update.

It's really not worth it. It's just a big iPod Touch. Connectivity with other devices is ridiculously limited for a tablet computer. I personally was incredibly underwhelmed.

I got one because I had a need for a tablet and it seems the HP Slate has been cancelled (or at least the future is in doubt for it) and nothing else seems to be on the horizon but Apple (at least nothing better).

Well. Lets put it this way, I had to try everything on the web to get it working again. It's now back to factory reset. That took me 5 hours. I tried a second computer, nada, looked into some hacks software that you had to pay for. Then created a second user account on my PC. Updated iTunes, then managed to restore it. Lost all my apps, contacts, films, pictures everything. This update really did screw up. iTunes on my admin account no longer recognizes the phone.

The iPhone 4 is launched tomorrow in the UK. My contract is up, was thinking about getting one, but not so sure now

That sucks!

I’m not getting the new iPhone. They just haven’t made enough enhancements to make it worthwhile in my opinion. Especially now that the unlimited data plans are being phased out...

I was disappointed by the iPad, I was disappointed by the iPhone 4, I was disappointed by the new software update.

It’s worth noting that I was an early adopter of MP3 players and have been using them since before there was an iPod so I don’t have the inbuilt respect for them that some of my friends have. There just haven’t been many decent alternatives in the last four or five years in my opinion (they got my money originally because nobody was coming close to their hard drive size and I’m unlikely to pay for another one until they increase the memory on the solid state hard drives).

I’m probably going to get an Android phone next, have been looking at a couple of the HTCs but am undecided, I really want to get up close and personal with one before committing but I don’t know anyone in the flesh who has one.

The new Iphone just looks bulky compare to the 3gs IMO, my contract is up next yr, usually apples good phones runs in twos. New google androids are supposed to have the new adobe flash mobile, so I dunno.

The only reason I upgraded from my Nokia brick a mere 3 years ago was because I switched carriers and was forced to. That was all. To this day the thing is still the most durable phone I've had. It also had good sound quality and worked perfectly with boom-mic headsets, unlike recent designs.

Only reason I upgraded to a phone with a keyboard was because there was nothing less gimmicky available. I'm still one of those fools who uses a phone as a phone because he wants to. I love hearing the intonation of voice from people I talk to. While texting has its uses, those have long since been overshot. I watch conversations at tables of friends sitting around at a meal degenerate into iPhone/Droid exploration frenzies rather than conversations, and I admit... all it does is disgust me.

Oh I would definitely love a single player component. If anything, just for a better story to follow.
