Well some of us inplement those in game that do have an understanding of military tactics and they do often work.

Like they say sarcasm doesn't always come across well on the internet.

Blevok, I had you in mind, together with MadDoctor and Siruk as my bunny-hoppying-fun-enemies among others who I enjoyed fighting with. Heck, if you stay Jaffa, you'll get more chances to kill me now lol.

THIS PATCH HAS MADE U GET SOME SKILL OR GET PWNED..
Well, certainly it made it harder to be SGC in general, which I agree with. However it reduces gameplay as I explain above.

Again, I think most of you that like the change are stuck in the SL perspective. Nova, you don't do as well as me at Soldier, and you are implying its easy to play. As I said, Soldier is my worst class, but I'm *still* better than most. Think for a moment anyway. Most noobs are *not* Soldier (besides for those noobtoobers, who don't usually end up with a high KDR, and switch to Sci anyway). As much as some of them Soldiers annoy me, I respect a Soldier (while I think supercowardscis are cowards ). As a Jaffa, I haven't encountered a Soldier who can take me on 1 on 1 *before* the patch (nvm now!). Some of them soldiers would just keep on coming. These guys refuse to go Sci (look at some of their Sci stats, they are dismally low on time played, even with an OK to awesome KDR). Some of them really annoy me and some I sometimes suspect of cheating (eg. no blindness, really quick takedowns) but give them the benefit of the doubt as thats *all* they play, and for a long time. I've bunny-hopped around with them as a Jaffa, and found it a challenge to kill them, and when I (of course ) do, its meaningful. These guys are the most skilled Soliders, "professionals", and have mastered all the tricks to playing it (which I have not, yet). I am sure this class of player is gonna be disappointed just as I am. The same goes for the professional Jaffa.

Heck, I myself am have the 8th highest KDR for Jaffa! and I am saying that now its like murdering children to play it. It just feels cheap. As I said, I felt Jaffa was borderline OP b4 the patch if you knew how to use it (and I made this clear many times). With the patch, even teams would favor SL IMO a lot. If you don't think so, be sure to play me (even teams of course lol). Now, I go Jaffa when my team is losing, or I'm in the mood of genocide. I might just go on a Jaffa binge now to raise my KDR to 4.0.

yes, i do want a challenge, but i also want it to be fun, and thats why i haven't played sgc much, i just never found it that fun. but i'm very picky about games. i've bought 50 or more games in the last 20 years and only played like 5 of them for more than an hour, but those are the ones that hook me, and i play for hundreds of hours. thats what jaffa has been for me, it hooked me and i love it. but i suppose i do need to expand my horizons, so expect to see me on the tau'ri side more often, but not hiding in a stairwell or behind a shield, i'll be out there, looking for a fight.

realz, you and a handful of others are who made me the jaffa i am today, and i will still enjoy battling with and against you from the sl side, but i also look forward to fighting along side you against the oppressive snake heads.

but... i won't be on as much as i usually am. my oldest dog, chrondo, was diagnosed with bone cancer on friday, and i will be spending much more time with him, while i can. i love him much more than any human or animal i've even known, and it's just tearing me up that he may be moving on soon. if i seem distracted, or leave battles early, i'm not playing for the enemy or ragequitting or anything, i'm just very depressed.

Wow realz really......trying to insult others and justify yourself by saying oh my stats are better, oh ive played longer than you so i MUST know better than you do. Oh i have all the stats so i know everything....Please stats can be made to show whatever you want......heck according to you ANYTHING Nova or Murphy says compared to anyone else is always accurate b/c they have more time/exp even compared to you.

Most of what i see from your post realz are generalizations of what you think it will be like. Unless you lied to us you just got back from vacation what yesterday and you said you hadnt been playing. Why do i bring that up, the patch has been out for several days and many of us have had more play time on the new patch than you (and to use your own words, more play time than someone else means we know more than you......sorry just using your logic).....

Quote:
Quote:
I find playing soldier just as easy as it was before.......can u get up in there face no.....can you stay away fire take cover fire take cover yes.......can you fire strafe/run by them turn and fire again yes
All this seems to indicate that you hadn't discovered a facet of the game.
Don't really see your point here.......its pretty simple to realize with the way the blast is now you cant get up in there face other wise you will die in 2 shots and a batter....thought that was common sense, but some how that means i haven't discovered a facet of the game......

As you say all your gonna do is nade spam now as soldier, and you have the gall to say im playing the noob class for playing jaffa, ok that makes a lot of sense......i actually fight regular even now with the soldier....ill lead with a nade and then p90 the rest of the way and ive had no problems killing jaffa especially 1v1, and dont pull the your playing against noobs crap unless your calling everyone on ts noobs b/c thats who i always play with/against...

Quote:
Quote:
I gotta agree with yellow and a good deal of other people from ts.....SGC is no longer auto pilot....
But SL will be.
No SL will not be auto pilot now, is it a bit easier or more even sure, but a good sgc team can still win with ease.

A LOT of people i hear crying about this and that are people who played sgc 24/7
You *know* thats not me. In fact, I plan to do a lot of soldier now as its hardest.
I dont believe i ever said (originally at least) that you were crying or played sgc 24/7.

Quote:
Quote:
to those people i say boohoo get over it and learn to play the different classes.
No, they will be able to kill all with two nooblasts as SL from now on. Besides, the noobs rarely played soldier (sci was their choice), so I don't know what your talking about. Now they will tend to play even less Soldier.
Like i said before alot of this stuff your saying has no solid ground if you ask me. I dont care what your big brother stats say, i have seen a lot less sci and alot more soldiers since the patch so......

Quote:
bottom line(s): I have increasingly felt now for quite some time, and have independently vindicated myself with the statistical data that Soldier is the hardest class to play (thank you warkrazed!).

Yeah, you can cheer for the new Jaffa buff, but heck, I just Jaffa'd myself out for about four weeks and I'm ready to move on. You might enjoy yourself for a short time murdering children, but you will soon be ready to move on as well, only to find a less mobile game when you die in two staff blasts as a soldier with no where to run.

Now all you Jaffa noobs will be joined by the newbs to noob blast the Soldier while all the skilled players who are bored owning everyone with the newly noobed out classes will once again move to the more difficult ones, ie. Soldier, just as we all made the move to Jaffa for Amarna
Again all i see here are comments from those that havent played the new patch and are making unfounded assumptions (and yes i used your stats before saying this to see how much you have played the last few days compared to myself) and attacks on anyone that would dare disagree with you by calling us noobs and baby killers....

Quote:
Again, I think most of you that like the change are stuck in the SL perspective. Nova, you don't do as well as me at Soldier, and you are implying its easy to play. As I said, Soldier is my worst class, but I'm *still* better than most.
I'm sorry you may have more play time and "better" k/d as soldier than me or nova or whoever but the bottom line i see here is i don't have a problem playing/winning with soldier (nova obviously doesn't either) and you seem to think that you do...like i said before stats aren't everything as shown by your response that you think soldier is harder where us "less skilled" players (as you call us) have no problem with it.

All in all, if anyone is still even reading this thread/post, i say devs im sorry that people yell this is broke fix it and as soon as you do fix it they yell i dont like the way you fixed it, some people are never happy it seems. Go ahead give the bunny hoppers back there "tactics" i love to see people bunny hop and when they try to use it to "evade" my blast/nade they will take even more damage than before which will translate to more kills more me/wins for my team.

U don`t do bunny hopping in real life .. U gotta be kidding me when u say this.
DO U HAVE JAFFA IN REAL LIFE? DO U HAVE A HEAL DEVICE THAT HEALS U IN REAL LIFE? Its a game........
How many ppl play jaffa now because of the splash radii? How many ppl rage because they cant see anything when going up all em jaffas? How many more kills does a ashrak do because of your adrenaline?
Its better u ppl say? O yea its is u don`t have to worry about missing your enemy wit jaffa or the lovley nadde from soldier. (Should I bring up the ashrak... now it can kill better.. no more all that running and jumping to avoid em.. they just storm u place u near a wall and kabom your dead)
Have fun playing wit this changes.

They made some changes, people need to learn to adapt to the changes. I think they went a little extreme with the changes myself, but I take these things in stride as next patch things may swing the other way. The thing is they test these changes with limited resources and things get overlooked.

Was the splash damage increased too much? Probably a little yeah.
Was jumping reduced too much? Probably a little yeah.
Did they fix a huge bug by disabling a feature because they tied an effect to the UI? Yes, this one bothers me not because they stopped people from exploiting a bug, I cheer them for that, but because they broke a feature to do it. I would like to see this fixed correctly so the UI can be toggled again for clean screens and videos.

No more action, just stand there and die ...
Can you get more dramatic?

Cmon man when do you see anything like bunny hopping anywhere during a firefight? ;D Also to everyone else, settle down and play it for a while

I would like to correct you, I do not use bunny-hopping, I do Parkour, I use the scenery to be efficient.

(and I never really needed chance to kill you, but I still like to encounter you )

Indeed, overall the patch was a step in the right direction, with some minor tweaks that are sure to come, it will be all the better. Fact is there will always be people to hate changes, they get comfortable in the way things work and have a hard time adapting but once they get used to it, they will get comfortable again and it will get changed again and the whole things starts anew.

On the bunny hopping part. I never knew pressing jump button over and over in quickly was a skill?

Anyway back to cleaning out my old house -.-.
