You Are A Moron!!! Read The Stickied Post Anytime You Join A Forum!!! This Is The Third Time Today!!!

AND, SGW and SGR ARE NOT THE SAME! No interchangable maps. SGW is a seperate project.

BTW, on a side note, I am not actually calling you a moron, I am sure you are resonable, I am just like a heater that can't be turned off...

Wish it was as simple as throwing SGW maps into the game. Besides the fact that the SGW maps are designed for MMO play, and not designed to focus the action in specific areas to ensure players meet up for some healthy blasting... they're also much lower resolution than the SGR maps.

The SGW maps look awesome, but the sheer size of them means you can't have the level of detail expected in a shooter, while the SGR maps are much more detailed.

Never fear, all sorts of map goodness is on the way. New maps, new play styles on existing maps, etc.

Hmmm, that would be kinda fun, wouldn't it? Wonder where the fights would land without the control points drawing people to specific locations?

I would assume you would block doorway's and change it up a bit

Make it so the gate room sealed off bigger to SL and make SGC start area bigger so no camping.

Ideally I would love to see at least 3 types of play at the SGC

The Jaffa would stick to open areas or high ground with long stretches to make the most of their staff weapons, the Ashrak would play the edges of the map predominantly, and the Goa'uld would be consistently teamed up on.

The Soldiers would charge far too often and turn on their usual allies for easier kills, the Commando would stalk the map edges but in the end have a fairly unfair game as they more than most require distance from the enemy that their team normally provides, the scientist would be the scientist as always - find a hole, drop a turret and poison anything stupid enough to get close, preferably a hole round a corner so that the turret isn't range-able and will be walked into unknown-ingly.

I have phone this in for you are the RAC are rushing to your location to help remove your foot from your mouth, as it seems to be jammed in hard!

apart from that, yeah, I see the logistical nightmare in trying to release patches every 2 weeks and a map a month, so more that that would seem impossible.

This is true. I have compared SGC SGW to SGC SGR and well the differences are in the screenshots.

Seriously. They are not the same. The run the same engine, they run the same models, but the maps are designed differently. They COULD port, but not just "transfer." It would require some work, as MMO maps are designed for MMO, and TPS maps are designed for TPS.

I stand: SGR AND SGW ARE STILL NOT THE SAME!

Some SGW models have being taken from SGW and some are new, it takes a while to make a new map, but I believe they are trying for at least one every month or so.

Same models. Maybe different textures (to make them higher since you can notice more in TP). Different layout. Different Gameplay.
