Default If Firesky/DCG sold SGR or class t-shirts would you buy one?

This is a poll pretty self-explanatory so would you?

I figured, they would want to make sure they had people to sell to. And if they got say 30 people interested. They could buy like 50 and have a "limited supply #####! Get your SGR T-shirts now" and see if they sell out. Which they probably will. but always better safe than sorry. Cuz if you have 30 people that say yes, then you will always have some that come out of the woodwork.

Edit: And as i have sold many various t-shirts at my high school (3 to be exact, one which sold out and we had to order more! over 600 sold!, it was amazing for my highschools last game before the building got torn down, and 600 is a lot seeing as thought a graduating class is only about 60 at my high school) You never get the right sizes and someone is always a little sad. Do we get more smalls than larges? or more larges than smalls? do we need just xl? or xxl? hmmm

hahaha. Well if they order tshirts and just put it all in black then thats about 7 dollars a t-shirt. So thats 350 dollars. A decent amount of change.

And if they go multi color it can double the cost.

But that means if they go for a black print on say a gray shirt or something and sell them for 20 dollars thas over 100% profit! about 150% to be closer. So thats 1,000 if they sell them all. profit of 650 dollars.

More color equals more cost.

You have to look at this as a cost benefit analysis.

Currently, I have it tabbed out that to buy an order of 50 of the t-shirts above costing $7 each that would mean it would cost Firesky $350 to purchase the shirts.

If they sold the T-shirts for $20 they would need to only sell 18 to cover their costs (and that is not factoring in the costs of labor to order, get, and post the shirts online for sell).

And, if they sold all 50 t-shirts that would give them a profit of $650.

Now, from a business stand point the potential for that much profit from a good product is ideal. So, they would want to keep that.

Let's say that you are willing to pay $20 for a black and white t-shirt.

If Firesky decides to go with a color t-shirt using all the colors in the CMYK process that puts each t-shirt at about $14 dollars per shirt. But, Firesky doesn't want any less profit from 50 sold t-shirts than $650 since that is their maximum potential.

So, 50 shirts at $14 is $700. To make a profit of $650 (total revenue of $1350) each shirt would need to cost $27 dollars.

Now as a customer are you willing to pay $27 for a t-shirt? I know I'm not, $20 to me is pushing it, but it would be ok. Then you have to remember you would have to factor in S&H to your cost bringing it closer to 30-33 dollars for one t-shirt.

This is true, however, I plan on being in Public Relations after college, so I need all the work I can get my hands on for said portfolio. Any of my ideas accepted I can potentially use on a portfolio.

there are many zat replicas out there, i own one, and i've seen some staffs too. i've also seen a few hand devices at conventions. as for earth weapons, search for airsoft on ebay. i got a m92f for 25 bucks, and i got my brother a p90 for his birthday for 45 bucks.
but shirts and hats are practical. i don't think i'd go to work wearing a flak vest with a p90 strapped to my chest and an iron skullcap.

I think it's awesome to have a community that wants to figure out ways for us to make money.

Maybe embroidered patches that you can sew onto your BDU that you got at the BDU store. I'm sure some of you have real BDUs, for convention purposes. www.bdu.com

Yeah, which is cool and everything. But you gotta look at the Market. Is their demand for 9 different t-shirts? Probably not. using my above examples. "$7 per t-shirt for 50 = $350" ... times that by 9 "$3150" ... who says they are going to sell 162 to break even. That's 132+ more than people that voted. That's why it'd be best to just start out with one t-shirt limited time offer of 50 t-shirts. See how it sells, if there is still demand then increase the supply.
