Objective

Ok, the idea is to spam twitter accounts (but friendly lovable spam!) of Stargate Actors to ask them to promote the game and or play it! Or to post about SGR to other stargate fans on twitter! There are hundreds, just type #stargate, #sg1, and... well you get the idea, see the template below for the exact post to copy and past

If anyone else has anyone that has a twitter account or a facebook account of any of the SG1, SGA, or SGU actors, let me know and I will re-edit the main post:

What I say is this:
"Hey! I like you on ___. You should check out the new video game Stargate Resistance and promote it! It is pretty sweet!"

or

"Are you a stargate fan.. join the Resistance at www.stargateresistance.com #stargate #sg1 #sgu #sga #stargatesg1"

You should be sure to mention it is a video game since there is a book of the same name!

REMEMBER: This is not just limited to the actors, continue to post all over twitter, flood twitter with so much SGR, twitter is like "whoa, too much SGR" and explodes! Make SGR a trending topic! Let's go guys, you can do it! Just to a twitter search for "Stargate Resistance" for an idea of what some of us have been up to!

Hey they probably get so many that they don't see all of their posts, so hopefully a couple catch their eye! plus if they see that a lot of people actually want it to happen they are more likely to do it

What are you trying to do to us!? If you let Richard Dean Anderson know that we exist, then he will be so challenged to outshine us that he will make use of a paperclip, a sheet of paper, a rhino, a humerus bone, and a three-toed moss covered credunza to make a game the likes of which would assault you with awesome! We can't possibly compete with that level of shamanic power!

here's an idea. everyone that has a google adwords account, take the amount you would give if there was a donate link, and create a targeted campaign for sgr. even with only spending a dollar for a handful of clicks, it would still be seen by thousands of people.

there you go that is good, we don't need DCG's permission to spend our own money to ask fellow people to join the game. Its like putting up posters around town . Just don't use copyrighted materials

how about sending an email to then inviting then to this web site so they can see what we are all about and then ask then if they could help promote SGW. but then again I think the Stargate community may already know about SGW, but most of then not gamers. I think maybe making a myspace (if anyone still uses that thing) or just recommending the facebook SGR to all of your friends and so on. that's my two cents.

hey, posters would be good too. if you're going to a convention, make some 4x6 posters and tape them up over the urinals. that might get some actors playing too. i think i've previously mentioned the short chat i had with my urinal neighbor don davis at a con.

haha awesome! Bathrooms are the best places for random encounters of the strange kind!

And also that is a great idea, if you are going to a convention take some posters hang them up in the bathroom and pass them out to people sitting around you, waiting in line for pics/autographs, w/e! All they can do is say no and look at you funny lol. But if they are at a convention for stargate they will probably be excited and jump on you with a hug! and posting them in the bathroom all that will happen is that the owners might say "oh no, not this again" and take them down lol

I'll hopefully be going to the Chicago convention in August, so if I can get the money together to buy the ticket, I'll deff bring some posters! Maybe we as a community should get a standard 8.5" x 11" poster people can just print off. I'm not sure what the copyright stuff is, so if we had a standard one that we didn't have to worry about legal stuff with, that would be awesome!

we can ask the devs here if they can allow us to print posters. they can even give us the image for us to print out and we can do all the leg work while they just sit back and get promote. i wouldn't mind printing out some 5x3 stickers and go around town putting them in bars restaurants bus stops car windshield or on STOP signs. hay that gives me an idea. i may make a bumber sticker!

yeah I made one back before the game was released I don't have the original PSD but I could make a new one and run it by the devs. Give me some ideas that you guys want and I will get it.

Awesome idea. I have a feeling David would play the game. It would be so awesome to play against him. OMG..Paul McGillion =D. Well anyone of the actors would be cool but i would really would like to play with Paul or David or both. They would probably play against eachother,those two are funny together.

You don't need permission from the devs. Do you ask permission from McDonalds when you tell your friends you really liked it? Or if you wanted to host a "Storm Mcdonalds day" where you tried to get as many people at mcdonalds at one time as you could? No, you just do it yourself. Because you aren't acting on behalf of mcdonalds. We aren't acting on behalf of DCG we are acting in our own personal interest of having a better product. Nothing illegal about that. (unless using trademarked logos, which we don't have to)

And I don't even see a trademark sign on the Stargate Resistance logo. Anyone wanna check up to see if it is? If not we have free reign over it!
