Help Promote SGR!

what are you talking about? it was only me and you from the beginning lol

if there was a sgr hat i would wear it. i am a hat wearer. you'll never see me outside my house without a hat. i wear star trek hats, and it gets me into at least 5 conversations a week with random strangers. i've turned several people on to star trek online like that. my stargate hat is too worn out to wear anymore. i want a black sgr hat!

you could have one made. I know plenty of sports clothing stores that do that. around me that is.

Come on folks help us out! we need to supoprt this game! We are their best form of advertising!

If someone has cafe press know how they could make SGR T-Shirts and the like. There's not much Stargate stuff on there. Ask for permission to use the logo or wallpapers, or use a cool action screenshot.

That's a decent idea, but what can you do for us? lol do you ahve twitter, see the first post for more info on that

No, I don't tweet. I've used word of mouth with my gamer friends. A couple of them said they tried it in the first free play event but weren't convinced I'm afraid. One was sympathetic to its unfinished nature and said he would try it again if there was another free play in the future because he's a Gate fan but I wouldn't hold my breath - he's more of an RPG man.

In my opinion timing is bad for this. You should wait for a major content release - the weapon DLC for instance - and push then. Get the ideas now but implement them later when there's a new hook.

To tell the truth, I don't think it matters when we do it. Pushing after the weapons release would probably be worse. Because hype is built up about them. So, it is something to look forward to. THE ZAT GUN gets people excited a lot more than a new map. So right now may actually be a good time to promote it. Plus, no matter when you do promote it, there will be people who will have problems with the game and people who like it. The best thing to do is to try to get as many people playing the game as possible at any given time. This way more revenue is generated and game development can continue as opposed to waiting and then finding that the player amount has dropped and then trying to rebuild.

Come on guys don't you wanna see this game grow? spread the word! I've had about 6 of my tweets retweeted by fans, so thats who knows how many more people that saw it. If we keep it up more and more new people will join!
