I'm really excited because i go to school in chicago, and i'll be around for it! Think i might just get a gold member ticket

i've been going to that one for the last 4 or 5 years. it's the smallest of the conventions that i go to. the drawback for me is the weak dealer area. but they always have some great headliners. and there's a good chance of random encounters at small conventions. one time i was in the lobby restroom, and general hammond steps up to the urinal next to me. a quick hello turned into a lenghty conversation as we walked down the hall. then i had a quick chat with ba'al at the front desk while he was checking in.

I wish I could go, although I live in Oregon, so on top of the 400$ it will be another 300$ for a plane...

Dreams and hopes, does anyone want to pay for me?

I don't know, from what I always heard so far, Creation cons have a comparably bad reputation. Anyone made really positive experiences? I have to wonder when I even look at the prices...

Let's compare: At FedCon (which takes place in Europe), you'd expect prices to be higher since they also have to pay for all the flights from Canada and USA. But all the prices I see on the Creation site for vouchers are quite a bit more expensive.
Anyways, conventions are always a cool place, already looking forward to this year's FedCon - gotta see David Hewlett and Gordon Michael Woolvett on stage

I met Baal once down here at Supernova. My friend was dressed up as him (we were the only ppl to go as system lords) and got a photo. He actually asked my friend for it! lol

The orici was supposed to turn up at the convention the year after but cancelled

I've stopped going since.

Btw, how are these $400?!? Seems pretty steep..

the gold tickets are somewhere around$400, i guess there is some exclusive stuff that goes along w/ it. like backstage passes and the like.

i never found a price for the regular tickets

I went to the one in Vancouver two years back.

The headliners ARE definitely AWESOME!

At ours, the only dealers present were creation and like two others. I don't know about their cons anywhere else, but the one I was at was very much lacking for vendors.

Hearing the cast, writers and directors on stage was worth every penny.

Our favorite was listening to Sgt. Siler tell behind the scenes stories.

If you ever get a chance to go to an SG Con.. by all means GO!

If you can ever make to the one in Vancouver, they do set tours! AWESOME!

Just sharing.
